Parshall Flume compared to Venturi meters in Water Treatment System Design

Variations of the Parshall flume, such as the H flume or the Trapezoidal flume, offer additional options for different flow conditions. In sum, the Parshall flume offers advantages such as a wide range of flow rates, low head loss, and simplicity in design. However, it may have limitations in accuracy and sensitivity to flow conditions. Its long-standing presence in the water treatment industry can be attributed to its established performance, standardization, and adaptability to different situations.
